Madinat Jumeirah Living

Madinat Jumeirah Living sits in Umm Suqeim, on the inland side of the road that runs past the Madinat Jumeirah resort. Dubai Holding built it as a low-rise residential quarter designed to read as an extension of the resort beside it: sand-coloured facades, arched openings, wind-tower detailing and shaded walkways between the blocks rather than towers on a podium.

The outlook is what defines the address. Buildings are arranged so that much of the community looks across at Burj Al Arab and at the low roofs and waterways of Madinat Jumeirah. A residents bridge carries you over the road and into the resort grounds, which puts Souk Madinat Jumeirah, the abra channels and the hotel restaurants within a walk rather than a drive.

The beach sits across the road on the seaward side, which is what the residents bridge is for. Umm Suqeim Beach lies at the foot of Burj Al Arab, Kite Beach runs further along the Jumeirah shoreline, and Wild Wadi Waterpark is next to Jumeirah Beach Hotel. Inland, Al Barsha and Mall of the Emirates are a short drive, and Sheikh Zayed Road carries the metro Red Line across the back of the district.

Inside the community the scale stays domestic. Blocks are grouped into named clusters set around landscaped courtyards, pools and gyms, with retail at ground level and parking below. It is a quiet address, and it suits buyers and tenants who want resort surroundings and walkable access to the beach without living in a high-rise.
